In Memory to Max
Don't think of him as gone away
his journey's just begun,
life holds so many facets this earth is just one ,
Just think of him as resting from the sorrow and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort, where there are no days or years.
Think how he must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away .and think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched, for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much
until we meet again old friend............. we love you
~ his loving family
To Hannah, Patrick, Kadie, Cagney, Charlie, Sean,
Meesha, Marshall, T-Bone, Burton
You are gone but not forgotten. We will all meet
once again on the Rainbow Bridge!

Marking Up My Winter Wonderland
(sung to the tune of Winter Wonderland)
Dog tags ring, are you listenin'?
In the lane, snow is glistenin'.
It's yellow, NOT white,
I've been there tonight,
Marking up my winter wonderland.
Smell that tree? That's my fragrance.
It's a sign for wand'ring vagrants;
"Avoid where I pee,
It's MY pro-per-ty!
Marked up as my winter wonderland."
In the meadow dad will build a snowman,
Following the classical design.
Then I'll lift my leg and let it go man, So all the world will know it's mine-mine-mine!
Straight from me to the fencepost,
Flows my natural incense boast;
"Stay off of my TURF,
This small piece of Earth,
I marked it as my winter wonderland.

Subject: Kaleigh the Wonder Collie?
Date:Wed, 29 Sep 2004 00:42:09 EDT
I just happened to check out a listing of the top agility collies in 2004.... I just about had a coronary to see plain ol' "Kaleigh" listed under Novice A Standard and Novice A JWW
http://home.att.net/~bselliott/agrank.htm
Just wanted to share with you all and enjoy "the brag". Who would have thought such great things would come from my little "rescue" collie?
Kim and Kaleigh
[Ed. Note: unfortunately, by the time the end-of-the-year rankings came out,
Kaleigh's been pushed out of first place. Even so, it's great to see another
rescue dog in the rankings!]

I have to tell you about Luke the wonder dog!
Two nights ago our 4-year-old, Anabel, woke up gasping for breath. We had to call 911, and within minutes we had 8 emergency personnel in our living room. Luke, who always barks at trucks and at people coming in the house, was completely quiet. He sniffed everyone, but stayed right next to Anabel, watching while they worked on her. When she and I had to go in the ambulance and stay at the hospital overnight, Luke kept asking my husband to let him out so he could stand on the porch and wait.
Anabel, who was diagnosed with severe croup, was back home last night. I had her in my bed so I could listen for trouble, and Rob slept in the guest bedroom. At 3 a.m. Luke came upstairs and started pacing from my bed to Rob's, and into the girls' room. He didn't want to go out or lie down. I showed him where Anabel was, and he settled down for a minute, but then started pacing again. Then he started walking in circles in front of Anabel's bed. Just when I was ready to strangle him or take HIM to an ER, he lay down in front of Anabel's bed, watching her. She woke up one minute later, gasping for air again.
We took her into the bathroom for steam inhalations, and when I put her back to sleep Luke flopped over and finally fell asleep. How did he know???
I'm remembering now that he was pacing in front of her the first night, too, before she woke up and couldn't breathe. We didn't figure it out at the time, but he knew.
Good dog!
Kris

Hello Folks,
Remember me? I am the collie who won the "doggie dunk" at last week's picnic. I just wanted to thank you for the great prizes. I love the tug of war toys. I play them with my beagle brother. (He was adopted from beagle rescue). Have you ever heard of the collie saying "A collie works when it wants to". Well, I would do anything for a hot dog! I won two years ago too. I came in second last year. I was glad to win at five and a half years old. Those young pups can't compete with me "The Champion". See you next year. I expect to be in the winners circle again.
