Francie Sable and White Rough Female 2 years Adopted!

Francie is a gorgeous 2 year old sable and white female. She is housebroken and knows many commands including sit, stay, down, shake hands, go find and drop it. Some are her favorite things are playing fetch with a ball or stuffed toy, back scratches, working for treats and sneaking into your bed when you aren't looking!

It took her foster mom plenty of time to find this picky girl the right treats, but now that she has, Francie will do anything for them. She enjoys working on her training and thrives on structure. She gets distracted and excited on walks and will pull if she sees another dog. Her foster mom is working on having her sit and wait till she settles. She was known to try and bolt out an open door or car door and is being trained to sit and wait when near a door. Francie has made wonderful progress in her foster home. Good thing her foster mom found those perfect treats!

Francie came to Collie rescue for nipping ankles of the small children running in her home. She has a very strong herding instinct and cannot be placed in a home with small children. She will chase anything moving, running or flying by. Due to her ability to leap up stairs and her love of jumping, she will require a fence to keep her safe. Even though she did nip little ankles at her previous home, she shares her foster home with a human teenager and she has shown no aggression or nipping just tons of kisses!

She is not currently living with any other dogs in her foster home, so we don't really know how she would do living with another dog or cat. She recently met another collie and after barking when they first met she did just fine when they took a walk together. She is very alert to everything around her and will bark at any passerby of the human or canine variety. She is a true watch dog and will let you know if anyone or anything is nearby.

Francie is a very sweet young girl with tons of energy for the right family. She can be shy at first but, give her a treat and she warms up quickly. Because of her strong herding instincts a structured, quiet and stable environment is exactly what this little lady needs.
