My Name is Lilly Lou and I am very pleased to make your acquaintance. Before I came to Collie rescue I was an outside dog. I only came inside if it was storming or really cold. I must have been very dirty, because the nice grooming lady gave me a bath and cut some really big balls of hair off of me. I felt like a million bucks when she was done, and could not wipe the collie smile off my face! I feel like a Cinderella now! I have a new look and a new foster home where everyone loves me so much. I have not had any accidents in the house, so my foster mom does not have to crate me. My foster family sleeps upstairs, but I have not figured out how to get up there yet. I suppose one day I will get curious enough to go check it out and see just what is up there. But for now I am just happy to be inside the house on my comfy bed. There are some funny noises in this house though. My Foster mom uses this thing called a vacuum. I just don't understand why that thing makes so much noise, so I just go lay in the corner till she shuts it off. You should see the food I get to eat here, it is so yummy! My mom puts some stuff called yogurt on my food and I love it so much and don't want to share it with anyone. They give me treats here too but I get mad at my canine foster sister if she tries to take mine. Otherwise I really love her. She is a collie too and sometimes I stick my nose in her ear and she groans. I think she must like it so I do it just to make her happy. I share my foster home with 2 little human children. They are so cute and like to give me kisses. I give them kisses too. Actually I give everyone kisses, even if I just met them! I really like to take walks with my humans whenever I can. I know how to sit when you ask me, but I never learned anything else. Maybe we could take some classes together so I could learn other tricks! I love it here at my foster home, but I would really like to have a home of my own. I am not picky at all and would be happy anywhere. With a dog or without, with kids or without, young or old, I don't care. I just want to love you and be loved back! |
