Brody Sable and White Rough Male 3-4 years Adopted!

Hi there my name is Brody! I was found running along a highway with an embedded collar in my neck. The nice people at animal control took me to the doctor to get some medicine and run tests on me. I knew when the doctor came in with a sad face that it was not good news. I had wounds on my neck that were infected and to make it even worse I had Lyme's disease and I tested positive for heartworm disease.

Collie Rescue has been taking very good care of me! I got medicine for my infection and to treat the lymes disease. Not long after I started treatments for Heartworm disease. It took a long time and sometimes I did not feel very well. But guess what? I tested negative for Heartworms!

My foster family says this is very good news because now I can find my forever home. So here I am to tell you a little bit about myself. First of all, I am very handsome! All the hair grew back around my neck and you can't even see my scar.

I was not able to get much exercise while I was having my treatments but I am making up for it now. I just love to take walks with my foster family. We go on a walk everyday and I am learning how to walk on a leash very well. I am very strong and do pull if I see another dog but my foster mom said I am making big improvements. I am learning all my commands like sit, down, and I can even shake hands. Now My Foster mom and I are working on stay and leave it.

I do have fear of storms and fireworks. If you are home with me I will want to be right by you, but I will misbehave if I am left alone. It is best to crate me at night or if you are not home so I don't get into trouble if a storm comes. I need to live in a house with a fence. Not one of those invisible ones though. If I get scared or see another dog, I will run away. I love to chew on soft things like towels, socks and even underwear, so make sure you keep them put away!

I will follow you everywhere and do anything you ask of me. I just want to be with my people. I like to go outside, but if you are not with me, I will want to come find you. I am very loving, easy going and like to put my head in your lap. Did I mention I love to eat? They have some tasty stuff on the counters here and sometimes I try to sneak up there, but my foster Mom reminds me I can't have it and I back away.

I love children too, but since I am so strong I would be good with children who aren't too small. If you are looking for a Velcro dog with lots of love to give, then look no further. I am your guy!
