Buddy

Sable and White Rough Male

8 months

Adopted!

Some charts say that an 8-month-old puppy is 4.5 years old in people years, and if you have children, you know what this means!

Busy, busy, busy is our little sable & white boy - and like all baby dogs just delighted with everything the day brings! He wants to taste, chew, run, jump, bark - and if he could climb a tree or ride a Big Wheel, he'd probably want to do that, too! Buddy is fortunate to live with an excellent collie mom who is teaching him manners - already our young man can sit, wait for his turn to go out the door, sleeps in a crate, and goes outside to potty! He is learning 'leave it' - and his selective hearing is improving on this, too!

Buddy is being fostered with a young female, and with an older male, and while he & his foster sister have tons of fun together, he knows enough to leave the 'big guy' alone. Still, we do not recommend that Buddy's forever home include a much older canine - he is still much too energetic and would probably really annoy an older adult.

A home with a young canine companion would be fine - but we would caution against homes with cats and young children. Buddy is still just too much boy to remember to be gentle.

A fenced yard is a must for this energetic little guy, and training class is strongly recommended. At 8 months, Buddy is ready for a puppy or a kindergarten class - not only will this help with his impulse control, but will assist his new family with bonding.

Summertime is full of fun and good memories- with Buddy you'll get both! Fireworks aren't always in the sky, and you'll say 'ooh' and 'aaah' when this little guy joins your family!
