Junior Tricolor Smooth Male 5 years Adopted!

Please welcome Junior to Collie Rescue!

Junior is a very handsome 5 year old smooth tri collie who spent much of his previous life in a kennel. As a result, he is a uncertain about doorways, houses, crates, and stairs -- but he is doing his best to learn. He is also a little timid about being touched, and doesn't seem to know his name, but the most heartwarming thing about this smooth sweetie is that he will follow you everywhere. He is nervous and scared and wondering what the heck is going on, but down deep he knows he really needs some love -- and he is pretty sure that if he sticks near you he will find it.

Junior is being fostered with male & female collies and has had no issues so far. His foster home also includes cats and while he will dip his pretty face to touch noses briefly, he pretty much ignores the feline members of the household. Junior does not like to sleep in a crate, but doesn't bark once he is inside -- we think he could be trusted in the house unsupervised anyway. Junior walks well on his leash, but does have a tendency to duck between your legs if something startles him -- so he will need to work on this. He does not seem to know any commands, yet, and has not played with toys. He appears to be housebroken and has had no accidents since joining his foster home.

Junior is a very handsome dog, and will be a terrific companion -- but will need a family who understands that much of what we take for granted is brand new to him. Could you help explore & explain the world to Junior? He'd be awfully grateful..
