Hi,

My name is Belle, I'm a beautiful mellow girl. And don't let my age fool you -- I still have "prance" in my step. I love going for walks and even get a little excited when asked. I make sure I walk nicely on my leash -- my foster mom hardly has to hold it! I'm learning "no streets" and doing pretty good. And by the way I also know "come", "sit" and "lay down". I am, what you may call a "semi-velcro" dog. I like following my foster mom around -- just to make sure I know where she is -- and maybe for a pat on the head or a quick hug & kiss.

I will go willingly into a crate (we call it my "room"), although I don't really care for it. Just give me a blanket by the side of your bed and I'll be content all night. I am adjusting to this "new" life quite well. (much better than living outside)

I live with 2 foster sisters and we get along fine. I don't know about cats, but I guess I could try... So, if you have a low energy canine friend at home, I'd like that. If not, that's OK too. Though I don't think I'd do too well with small children, but older children or none would do. I can climb the stairs, although, at my age, who knows for how long. My foster mom makes sure she is by me when I go up or down. So I guess a house with a few or none would be best for me.
