Lucy Sable and White Rough Female 6 years Adopted!

Regular readers of our website know that we really don't sugar coat things when we talk about our dogs. If they have little issues to work on, we tell you - and if we are aware of a definite 'no', we let you know!

That's why it is so difficult to write a bio for Lucy - 'cause there just isn't anything we can tell you that isn't wonderful! Lucy is one of the most delightful collies we've come across, and we are just in love with her. Sweet and affectionate, Lucy is a confident dog without being a bit pushy. She is just happy to meet everyone - human, canine or feline. She is most content when she is with you, and will pad quietly along as you move from room to room, settling down near enough that should the urge to pet her come over you, well, you won't have far to reach. How considerate! At the same time, if you let her out into your (fenced) yard, she is just as happy to roll in the grass alone, delighting in the warm summer sun and entertaining herself by running and jumping. At night, Lucy is happy to sleep on the floor near your bed, but she may just try to sneak up beside you - you know, in case you have a bad dream, or something!

Lucy walks politely on her leash, and jumps willingly into the car where she rides laying down - with an occasional peek out the window at stop signs, just to check things out. Show her the door to outside a few times, and when she needs to go out, she'll let you know by going to that door. Lucy knows the command 'sit' and she will also offer you her paw to shake if you ask, and while she enjoys treats, she will gladly work for love. She is not a high energy dog, and loves her naps - but she is always up for a stroll around the block, or a ride in the car. In short, she is simply an excellent companion, peaceful, loving but with enough sparkle to make each day special.

Even her coloring is unique - in places, it looks like Lucy went blonde for the summer, but (shh! don't tell her we said this!) needs to touch up her roots! This girl has some lovely shades to her coat which makes brushing her fun - oh, and did we mention that she really enjoys being groomed?
