You see, Asia needs to feel floods of love so she can begin to remember that most people are loving and kind and good, and that she is worthy of respect. Her previous owners certainly did not feel that way - they thought so little of her that they tied her to a dog house in the back yard and moved away without her. We don't know how long she suffered without food or water before a Good Samaritan found her and contacted us for help.

Asia is here now, and her wonderful foster family is reassuring her that love is available and hers to be had. She is an affectionate sable & white girl who loves to cuddle, who barks to go outside to potty and who walks nicely on a leash. She knows how to jump into a car, and rides nicely with only an occasional peek out the windows at stop lights. She is well behaved and goes easily into her crate - all things that suggest she was once a beloved house pet. Asia does not like female dogs, and she does not tolerate cats at all, so perhaps she would be best with a male canine companion, or as an only collie. We are not sure how she would react to children, but should be fine with older children.

Now, if we can ask for one more wave of good thoughts for this pretty girl - Asia is heartworm positive and has just begun treatment. Please think of her often and let Asia know that she WILL be well again - she WILL be loved again - and that she will never, ever, EVER be abandoned by her family again...
