Fawn

Sable and White Rough Female

3 months

Adopted!

Come tip-toe to the Nursery window, and take a peek at our newest baby, Fawn!

Fawn is a beautiful, fuzzy sable & white female puppy, and is only 12 weeks old. Being a very little girl means being a very busy girl - and our Fawn fills her day learning all about the big, wide outside world. " Is this something to eat? Can I play with it? Does it make a noise? " There is just so much to figure out that sometimes Fawn stops in the middle of a game and falls asleep - it's tough learning about EVERYTHING!

But learning she is! This bright little girl is doing very well with her crate and potty-training and with continued patience, love and firmness will become a wonderful companion and canine good citizen. Because what she experiences now will set the path for her whole life, we would like an experienced home and are requiring Fawn's forever family commit to formal obedience training as soon as she is old enough. A home with a fenced yard is strongly preferred, and we have our fingers crossed for a stay-at-home mom to provide stability for this little one as she grows. As all babies do, Fawn is curious about cats, and will chase those furry, self-propelled toys, but is at a good age to begin learning not to do this. ( Perhaps a dog-savvy cat will help with this lesson!) Fawn may be a bit too much fun for an older canine companion but should do well with a younger or very tolerant resident dog.

There will be pathetically sad whimpers in the middle of the night, and accidents on the carpet, and more than one pair of kicked-off tennis shoes will be found chewed under the kitchen table. Your home will become a maze of rooms closed off with baby gates and at times you will ask why on earth you decided to adopt a puppy instead of an older collie. Well, take another peek at her sweet baby face - cuddle her in your arms and feel the trusting weight of her against your heart - and you'll have your answer!
