Rufus Tricolor Rough Male 4 years Adopted!

In Hollywood, a male nanny is called a 'manny' and if you'd like one for your children, meet Rufus!

Rufus is a loveable, huggable 4 year old tri-colored male, and he is nuts about children! His days are happiest when the little ones are around, and we can pretty much guarantee that your kids will be crazy about this gentle boy. Rufus loves to play fetch, and will gladly retrieve his tennis ball as many times as you will throw it.

A beloved family pet, Rufus has always lived inside, and can be trusted not to chew on things if left uncrated - but he's glad to sleep in a 'den' if you'd rather. He is housebroken, walks nicely on his leash, and knows his basic commands. He is also very clever, and is something of an escape artist, so a nice tall fence would be good for the family who adopts this handsome man! He walks through his day with 'happy' at both ends - a collie smile on this face and a tail that seldom stops wagging. Rufus is good with other dogs, but thinks cats are moving toys to chase, so a feline-free household would definitely be best.

Now, most 'mannies' are good with children because they can relate to the fears that plague little ones, and while Rufus can handle any monsters that might live under the bed or in the closet, and doesn't need a night light in his room, he is afraid of thunderstorms. Really afraid of them. Rufus will come to his forever family with a 'thunder vest' which is a tight-fitting jacket that velcros around his chest and under his tummy. It's kind of like a hug that travels with him!

Rufus is anxiously awaiting his forever home, and to tell the truth, we think this one collie who might even tempt Timmy -but don't tell Lassie we said so!
