Steiff, Gund, Vermont - many companies offer soft, plush, huggable teddy bears, and now Collie Rescue does too! Meet Kinsey, our loveable, huggable sweetheart of a collie who resembles nothing more than a roly-poly bear cub!

Kinsey's sable & white coat has been trimmed in a 'puppy cut' and with such short, fuzzy hair we just dare you not to grab him into a big hug. When you see his bright button eyes and beautifully tipped ears, you won't believe that this bundle of cute is really a six-year-old collie, and well past the puppy stage. Now, part of the busy little waddle in Kinsey's walk can be attributed to the extra 15 - 20 pounds he is carrying, but with a sensible diet and regular excercise our boy will transform (as all bear cubs do!) into a sleek, beautiful adult with a gorgeous coat - but in the meantime, won't it be fun to have the 'puppy' look without the puppy antics?

Kinsey will need some work walking on a leash, and isn't acquainted with some of the usual household noises like vacumns and dishwashers, but he handles new situations very well, and should learn these things quickly. A laid-back young man, he has done well meeting other dogs at the groomers and in his foster home, and he even greeted the cats politely! He has been exposed to a crate, and although it was clearly new to him he went in willingly, and stayed with only a few minutes of the softest whimpers. Upon being introduced to a set of stairs, he eyeballed them warily, but gave it a try and was soon galloping up and down like a pro. His foster home includes young children, and he has been very good with them. He jumps into a car with no hesitation and rides nicely once inside.

So if your inner child has been missing a cuddly teddy bear to hold - well, Kinsey is waiting - and we'll even tie a bow around his neck if you ask!
