Hi! My name is Mitzie and I am the Mitzie of 'Mitzie and Eddie'. You may notice that my name is always first and between us, that's because I am older and smarter than Eddie. I am six and he is five, but I know so many more tricks than he does because I paid attention and learned how to get my humans to give me treats! Sit, stay, down, come, paw are just some of the things I know how to do, and when you call me I'm quick to run to your side. I also walk nicely when I take you out, and if we ride in the car, well, I call shotgun! Oh, you want me in the back seat? OK, I'll stay back there, but if you change your mind, let me know! I don't fetch balls (if you wanted it, why did you throw it? is how I look at that!) and I really don't play with toys very much, but I will make sure those pesky squirrels, birds and chipmunks don't get close to your yard! I sometimes bark at other dogs when I'm outside, and I will let you know if something gets into the trash at night, but for the most part I stay pretty quiet. I like the cats who live at this house, and I am nice to the other dog here, too. One thing that I will be glad to do is to snuggle up with you on the couch, or even in bed, you know, if you want me to. My foster mom now says no to those things, but if you are looking for someone to keep you warm this winter I'm your girl! Right now Eddie & I sleep in the laundry room, and stay there when our foster mom has to go out, and we never chew anything we aren't supposed to. Some collies, I've heard, sleep in 'crates' but we don't need to - we are grown up enough to be good unsupervised! Foster Mom might tell you that sometimes food disappears from the kitchen counter when she leaves the room, but honestly, we don't know anything about that! We weren't even IN the room when she got back! Maybe it was one of those cats?? I really need to be adopted with Eddie, if there is a home out there who wants two collies. I think I am definitely prettier with my sable & white coat, and I am really smart, but Eddie really needs me to help him out. Do you have room for both of us? Please? |
