I'm Eddie and I am a 5-year-old tri-colored male collie, who lives with Mitzie. She is older than I am, and she knows all sorts of tricks to do, but me? I just know how much I want a family again. I love sitting beside my person and will gaze into your eyes as you pet me, and if you stop too soon, I will nudge you gently with my nose to remind you I am here. I love to snuggle in next to you on the floor and I love kisses on my long collie nose. If you'd like to brush me while we are watching TV, well, that's fine - I like it!- but the thing I like best is you... I like to go for walks, and I also like to go in the car. Mitzie is always asking if she can sit in the front seat, but I prefer to stay in the back. I figure, if you wanted me up front, you would have opened that door, right? I like to look out the window to see where we are going. (I hope it's to the dog park, 'cause I really have fun there!) Don't worry - if you need me at the park, or even at home in the yard - just call! I'll be back in a flash to see what you want. There is a teenage person in my foster house, and she is great. She is always hugging on me and I love it! Sometimes she throws a ball or a frisbee for me, but she pretty much gave up on that. I'm not really big on toys, although Mitzie & I will play tug sometimes if the toy is the right size. I really just like to be where you are and wait for some petting! There are three cats in my foster home, and I wag my tail & touch noses with them, but they never pet me. I'll keep trying! The other dog here is a Golden Retriever, and we get along fine, too, although I wish he wouldn't crowd me in the car. Foster Mom said 'knock it off' when I complained that he was on my side in the back seat but I already know that's how it is when there are other dogs and sometimes you just have to stop tattling. At Foster Home Mitzie & I sleep in the laundry room and not in a crate, and we are really good about going in there when we are told to. We are pretty grown-up, and aren't very interested in chewing on things we shouldn't, so maybe you could let us out in the house at night if you want to? So, that's me, Eddie. Foster Mom says that I am a 'true sweetheart' and I'll do my best to make you happy. I really, really want a new family, but if you like me, can you please adopt Mitzie too? She thinks she's watching over me, but really, I have to take care of her.
