Jessica is a 11 month old sable and white rough coated Collie / Sheltie
mix pup. She came to us from a shelter. She is all puppy, full energy
and loves to play -- play -- play. This girl is also all personality,
which is amazing considering her condition when she was picked up. She
had to have a lymph node removed, Kennel Cough, and her hips, well they
were just lopsided. Once she had x-rays, it was obvious she had been in
a car accident, or something equally traumatic. Yet in spite of this,
she ran and played like any puppy would. If her hips were not crooked,
you would have never known. In reviewing the injuries, it was decided
that her right leg was causing her pain. The great Dr Schlapp removed
the Femoral Head in her right leg, which is now allowing her to walk
pain free. She still needs in home therapy, but it is easily done with
every day activity. For example, when she goes for a walk, we sometimes
find a hill to walk up and down, or side to side. When we work on her
