Patch White-factored Sable and White Rough Male 2 years Available

Patch is a white factored sable with beautiful markings. We believe he is about 2 years old. Patch has always lived outside in a pen and is just getting used to the good life and learning to be a house dog and a pet. He is friendly and a sweet boy once he gets to know you and knows he can trust you. We believe Patch was born blind and he is good at fooling you that he can see (he may be able to see some shadows and light) -- it took us a few days to figure out that he wasn't seeing very well. Collie Rescue of Greater IL has adopted many blind collies who have gone on to live full lives in their homes. It would be best for him to be placed with another collie who can act as his eyes. 5-19-08 update: Patch had an appointment at Animal Eye and we were happy to hear that Patch has about 15 to 25% vision in one of his eyes! He gets around very well and it is just amazing to watch him running in the fenced yard with the other dogs playing. Patch is a very friendly boy who still needs to work on his manners he loves to jump up and give you kisses on your nose.
