Dylan Tricolor Rough Male 18 months Available

Dylan is an 18 month old tri male rough collie. He came into us from an animal control after they found him in an abandoned apartment buildings basement. He was thin, and his coat was a mess full of burrs. Upon arrival at the vet it was discovered he is heartworm positive and will need to go through treatment. He is currently in foster for his treatment which will be take about 4 months.

Update from Dylan's foster home: 3-26-08

While Dylan is doing well in his heartworm treatment, he remains extremely fearful of everything. He does seem to feel comfortable when with his canine friends but is frightened of humans and can't seem to relax when in the presence of a human. It is going to take a huge amount of time and patience to get Dylan to trust humans again. He is frightened by the everyday sounds that go on in a home the TV, dishwasher, etc. He will find a dark corner to hide in and has to be physically removed from that corner or he will just stay there hiding and hoping no one can see him.
